Uduaghan Swears In 11 Perm Secs


Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta on Friday in Asaba swore-in 11 new permanent secretaries into the state civil service.
Those who took the oath of office were: Mr Cyril Agbele, Mrs Erihire Young, Mr Chukwududua Okobi, Dr Eberechukwu Omodon, Engr Onochie Okolie and Mr Erhieyovwe Ukey.
Others were Mr Chuks Nkenchor, Mr Oneoritsebawo Uklubeyinje, Mr Djesure Ishoka, Mr Kingdom Amukoyo and Mr Temi Ebijuwa.

The governor said that the appointment had become necessary to fill in the existing vacancies resulting from retirement in the state civil service.
He said the appointment was also in view of some others who would be retiring soon.
“We have just witnessed the oath taking ceremony of 11 newly appointed permanent secretaries for the state civil service.
A good number of permanent secretaries retired meritoriously, while some are at the verge of bowing out. We have to fill the vacancies created,’’ he said.
He appreciated the retired and the retiring permanent secretaries  for their reservoir of knowledge and expertise.
He congratulated the new appointees and urged them to brace up for the new challenges.
Responding on behalf of the permanent secretaries, Agbele, who is also the Accountant-General of the state, pledged their loyalty and commitment to duty. (NAN).
