In my most recent piece I tried to insert a graphic that illustrates the intersection of New Urbanism, community development and "flow", but I just couldn't get it the way I wanted. Here's a compromised version of it:
There are many shared attributes. The interconnected areas could include the following:
New Urbanism/Community Development: Traditional neighborhood structure; quality of life
Community Development/"Flow" Theory: Building on assets; community linkages; external networks; human development
New Urbanism/"Flow" Theory: Connectivity; sustainability; community authenticity; cultural tolerance
At the center is a new model for community building and revitalization.
It's all so easy.
